That’s why we ask all of our guests to follow these simple rules, so that we can help to ensure that everyone’s experience is a positive one. It’s all about making pleasant, happy memories of your stay in Rensselaer – so that you’ll come back and see us again!

- Room
fees/charges are payable at check-in. Check-in is from 4-6 p.m.; check-out is at or before 11 a.m.
Unfortunately, we cannot refund unused nights if canceled within 24
hours. Rates are per night, based on double occupancy.
- We welcome children 10 and over with well-behaved parents!
- Our
bountiful breakfast is served weekdays at 7:30 a.m., with fresh coffee
available by 6:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday breakfast is at 8 a.m.
- Please
feel free to use the first floor rooms to relax and visit. The living
room has a TV, DVD player, games & magazines for you to enjoy. The
screen porch is located off the living room. The parlor and foyer are
furnished with a baby grand piano and antiques, including a desk for
your use.
- Complimentary
beverages for each guest are located in a small refrigerator in the
2nd floor hallway for your convenience. You may also use this refrigerator
to store your perishables – please mark your items.
- Rooms
are freshened daily. However, please join us and other guests in our
efforts to help save the environment by reusing and hanging up your
towels during your stay. Towels placed on the floor will be replaced
with clean towels. For longer stays, sheets are changed after three
days, or if requested.
- The
outside door under the portico and the door to the screen porch are
locked at 10 PM. If you will be returning to the house after this time,
you should use the Park Avenue door for re-entry. Please be
respectful of other guests and observe quiet hours after 10 p.m.
- A
folder with local restaurant menus is available. Please feel free to
ask us for advice about dining or other local information.
- The
White House on Park Avenue is a pet-free and smoke-free environment.
If you smoke outdoors, please stand away from the door entrances.
- Smoke
detectors are installed in each bedroom and throughout the house for
your safety. A fire extinguisher is located at the top of the
stairs just outside your door in case of emergencies.
- Indiana State Law forbids the sale or service of alcoholic beverages to our guests. However, you may consume your own beverages while staying in our home.
